Every day he fights to become less alienated from the world. He alternates between battling to know, and wanting comfort and rest to process what he sees. He hasn’t yet found the deep comfort of repetition—endless peekaboo and books worn out of their bindings—but he leans toward that. He is calmed by movement—being held as his parents walk and breathe.
